Worst TV Ad of All Time

| HOLY CRAP if I see the stupid Acura RDX commercial that constantly plays during breaks in Jays Games on Sportsnet one more time, I swear to God I will kill somebody. Just throwing it out there.
If you are fortunate enough to not know what I'm talking about, feel free to ruin your life by watching the stupid commercial here.
Let's recap: the sole purpose of this advertisement is to demonstrate the amazing handling capacity of a new Acura by having some "Inspector Gadget" style grappling hook shoot out of the car and whip it around a corner.
WHAT?!
That. Doesn't. Even. Make. Sense.
What are you trying to tell me, exactly, Acura? That my new car will come with this sweet built-in rocket hook? Uh, no it won't. That's absurd. Also, if your car's handling is so incredible, shouldn't it be able to make it around the corner without the assistance of the stupid hook? Most car commercials use planned - but *possible* - scenarios to demonstrate how their car performs. Outdoor "rugged" terrain, windy highway roads, wet / inclement conditions, whatever. But after watching this commercial, I have no idea how the Acura performs. I don't know about the interior, the speed, the safety, the ANYTHING - and I don't even know about the handling, because of the retarded hook stunt.
The fact that Sportsnet insists on playing this ad at least once every commercial break doesn't help either. Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
